Jonathan Djanogly, the Member of Parliament for the Huntingdon Constituency joined the launch of Heroes Welcome in Huntingdon last Friday. The scheme seeks to ensure that service men and women receive a warm welcome with local businesses, shops and even taxis displaying a sticker to indicate that service personnel are supported and will be well treated.
Mr Djanogly said;
‘Our service men and women do a wonderful job around the world carrying out many roles from the war on terror to peacekeeping and humanitarian aid work in extremely difficult circumstances. I am very proud that this initiative has been launched in Huntingdonshire, especially with our military history, and I am sure that local people will continue to give the warm welcome that the soldiers deserve.’
