We now have a large group of creative, enthusiastic, able and experienced councillors who I know will deliver over the next four years. This is a very exciting and challenging time for St Neots and I look forward to working with all members of our new Council and the people of our town during the next year.”
In response to his appointment as Vice Chairman, Eynesbury Councillor Andrew Hansard said:
“As Vice Chairman I look forward to being continually involved with the community and life of the town. I will be fully supporting the Chairman and my other council colleagues in all they do and will assist in their work any way I can. “
In addition, the 20 Conservative councillors on the Town Council have elected Eaton Socon councillor Andy Jennings as their Group Leader. After the election by his fellow councillors, Andy said:
“In the recent elections, the people of St Neots sent out a clear message about the way they feel their town has been run in the past. The Conservatives have been given a clear mandate to deliver more cost effective, efficient services that local people want, whilst maintaining a high degree of transparency and openness that taxpayers rightly deserve.”
