Huntingdon Conservative Constituency Association welcomed the Rt Hon Gavin Williamson CBE MP, Secretary of State for Defence, to their Annual Dinner in St Neots on December 7th.
Members gathered at the St Neots Golf Club for this prestigious annual event, which included speeches from the Secretary of State and local MP Jonathan Djanogly.
Mr Williamson entertained attendees with a lively after dinner speech, reminiscing about his time as Parliamentary Private Secretary to David Cameron and his ascension to the Cabinet. He also spoke passionately about his current role and commented the issues of the day.
His speech was followed by a lively question and answer session, where members had the opportunity to quiz the Defence Secretary on a number of topics receiving national attention, including Brexit.
Mr Djanogly also spoke, thanking Mr Williamson and highlighting the local successes of the Conservative Party in Huntingdonshire.
