Huntingdon Constituency Conservative Association welcomed Bob Neill, Member of Parliament for Bromley and Chislehurst and Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department of Communities and Local Government and Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party to a dinner at St Neots Conservative Club.
Mr Neill was the guest speaker at a political supper and he spoke about many issues facing his own department and local government including the challenges all authorities and governments face in the current economic climate as well as some of the national political stories at the moment.
Vice Chairman of Huntingdon Constituency Conservative Association, Jonathan Knight said;
‘We were delighted to welcome Bob to the Huntingdon constituency and listen to his words on the broader issues as well as to use the opportunity to highlight particular concerns locally. Bob gave a tremendous speech and also dealt with the various questions posed in a very efficient and friendly manner.
‘It was a very enjoyable evening and Bob has certainly set the standard for our future speakers, Nick Boles MP and Matthew Hancock MP, to attain.’
